Who is Helka?
I am a finnish composer and multi-instrumental musician. My musical path has been quite a wide one, varying from classical music and nordic folk all the way to popular and electronic music. I received my master's degree in music from the Sibelius Academy (University of the Arts Helsinki) in 2024.Video games and movies have been close to my heart since childhood and they are a big part of why I fell in love with making music of my own. Music plays an essential role in the storytelling and atmosphere of games and cinema, which is why I want to make sure the music is an enriching part of the media and complements it in the best way possible.
